Kane to be rested for West Ham

Tottenham will be hosting West Ham at Wembley for the first game of the year at the stadium. Both sides will hope to get something from the game. As much as David Moyes will believe his team can still pull a surprise on Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino will put out a strong line up capable of doing any damage to any team in the league. Apart from Harry Kane who is a doubt for the game, it's a strong Spurs team that should be expected in this encounter.

Goalkeeper
The form of Hugo Lloris has been out of this world has he has helped Tottenham remain top of their game so far this season. He is expected to be in goal for the game and the next thing top of his mind is help his team keep a clean sheet.

Defenders
The partnership of Davidson Sanchez and Jon Vertonghen has become a revelation in the league this season and this is because Alderweired is out injured. Tottenham got themselves a good replacement and he has been a good buy all season long. The duo will continue at centre back in the game. Serge Aurier will start ahead of Trippier at right back while Davies will keep his place at left back.

Midfielders
It been a long season for some players in Spurs tens that they go in and out of injury. That's the case of Moussa Dembele who's out of the game and he will be represented in the starting line up by Moussa Sissoko. Sissoko will play alongside Eric Dier at holding midfield role. Christian Eriksen will provide the necessary creativity needed for the team going forward. It's a compact midfield and this will be too much for West Ham to withstand if the game plan works out fine for them.

Attackers
The return of Lamela has given Pochettino some relief going forward and he bow gas numerous options to call on when Kane is not fit enough to start a game. Lamela will start in the game as Kane will be sitting out the match. Dele Alli and Son will both provide the goal scoring bite the team needs.

Team line up: Lloris, Aurier, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Davies, Dier, Sissoko, Alli, Eriksen, Son, Lamela.
